The Four Clans

Season
Current Season: Greenleaf
Greenleaf has taken hold of the forest, marking an end to the pleasantly warm days of Newleaf. The temperature is now quite hot, at times unbearably so; most prey tend to take shelter during the hottest time of the day. Dangerous thunderstorms are possible and can happen with little warning. Will the heat of Greenleaf cause tempers to flare when tension is already running high in the Clans?

1 Swift End Cliffs on Sat Nov 02, 2013 5:57 pm

First topic message reminder :

Named for another previous ThunderClan leader, these cliffs make up another edge along the coast and open up to the raging sea below, where many sharp rocks are waiting. At the bottom a beach forms, which continues south and into StormClan territory. Many birds roost here among the rocks, and reptiles do too. There are a couple cave entrances underneath the water.

Rockybolt picked back up the prey he had caught, glancing down the cliffside while being careful not to fall. Stick was climbing back up the cliff, and Rockybolt felt a slight breeze begin to blow from the ocean. Night was falling, and the stars were beginning to glimmer above. He could see the moon begin to show above the horizon, and wondering if it was the night of the Gathering. Rockybolt waited until Stick was close to the second ledge, making sure that the smaller dog wouldn't fall before he started towards the final ledge. Though a bit closer than the second ledge, there appeared to be less possible pawholds. Rockybolt hesitated for a few moments before leaping upwards, his claws scrabbling at the cliff. He quickly tried to reach the first ledge, slipping down a few more times than he had previously. Rockybolt managed to grip onto the ledge with his paws after he had gone up several tail-lengths, and Rockybolt tried to pull himself forward onto the third ledge. He panted after he reached it, looking back down the cliffside and blinking. The ground seemed to be much farther away in the darkness, and certainly a fall down there would not only injure Rockybolt, but prevent him from being able to climb back up due to the dark. "We're almost there!" Rockybolt called down, his voice muffled.

Stick heard a muffled voice and considered it to be Rocky's. Night had fallen, but it seemed to quickly pass,as if time was on their side. The Jack Russell wriggled his hindquarters and leapt forward. His claws scratching the rock and clambering up beside Rockybolt. He gave a sigh of relief,as well as he could through the prey in his mouth. He glanced at the sea. His dark amber eyes mesmerized by it's vastness. The dog turned back to the retriever and nodded. "Ready to keep going?" He yelled through feathers, fur, and wind.

Rockybolt glanced back down as he heard Stick's voice, and nodded. "Ready." The golden retriever replied, his voice muffled by the prey he was carrying. Glancing up the cliffside, he realized that there weren't any more ledges, and they were nearly to the top of the cliff. His brown eyes looked about the cliff, before finding some pawholds about a tail-length above the ledge. Stepping back slightly, Rockybolt leaped forward, managing to hold onto the stone as he pulled himself forward. The golden-furred dog soon reached the top of the cliff, leaping forward and dragging himself up. I hope there's an easier way to climb up the next time I come here, Rockybolt thought, blinking slightly. At least he had been able to catch some prey, though, especially in Leafbare. Rockybolt glanced back down to see if Stick had nearly reached the top of the cliff, waiting until the smaller dog had arrived. "Back to camp, I suppose?" Rockybolt asked in a muffled voice, looking back towards the horizon. It appeared to be nearing dawn, and the Gathering must have been over. Next time, Rockybolt decided; he could ask the warriors around camp to see if anything had happened at the Gathering. Looking back at Stick and waiting to hear the Jack Russell's response, Rockybolt then trotted back towards the camp, trying his best to remember the way there.

The Jack Russell grunted in reply to Rockybolt's question. He leapt as high as he could on his paws and scrambled up beside the retriever. Stick wagged his tail and glanced at the rising sun. He suddenly felt all of his exhaustion catch up with him. He stifled a yawn and bounded after Rockybolt. His dark amber eyes wandering to the slowly brightening sky.

OOC: Please no one apart from Bramble show thanks
The older wolf with many old dog fighting scars and a particularly large one on his chest had been following a scent he hadn't smelt recently. The one of Dean, he couldn't pick up any hint of his brother Sam and was a little worried for the two boys. The scent faded and he cussed to himself the old grumpy male with more fighting experience than he really should huffed to himself and cast around trying to find the scent. Against his better judgement he'd begun to care for the two whelps, in a fatherly kind of way at least. He'd never met their father but would have had some choice words to say to him if he did.

Steel sighed and flicked his tail wandering along some more "Where have you gotten yourself to Dean, you're going to give me more grey hairs" he'd thought that the wolf was dead for lupus's sake! He grumbled to himself, so he wasn't dead and he hadn't given himself or his brother a single thought and was now gallivanting off with the darn wolves who'd taken over the area. He grunted to himself flicking his tail from side to side his stomach still rumbling he glanced around wondering if it'd be worth hunting on the territory. His thoughts were dragged back to the cowardly wolves that had ganged up on him in the Brambles where he had made his home for several seasons now. Hate bubbled inside of him for them taking away his home.

He glanced up at the full moon and as always it reminded him of how alone he was, the big moon had no other moons just plenty of little stars who were thousands of light years away. Ah... getting sentimental now was he? Fantastic that was just what he needed, baring his fangs into a smirk the older brute padded along to sit at the edge of the cliff and watch the world for a few moments.

31 Re: Swift End Cliffs on Mon Mar 28, 2016 8:02 pm

Pain. That's currently what he was in. It had been a long walk from the gathering to say the least. But it hadn't exactly been painful for his paws per say. His dark hued fur was still slightly damp, and there was still plenty of moonlight during the night from what he could tell. Bramble had just been through dealing with those at the gathering. Indeed there had been plenty of his clanmates there, but there had been an argument that he had helped with his clanmates against one of their own. Not to mention that he could figure out that the other clanners would be bickering about who murdered who. As long as no one pointed their paws at him or his friends, if he could even consider them that, he didn't care who they thought was the killer. After all, he wouldn't do something like that. Hell, he hadn't even really been known around the camp till recently, and there was no telling what was going to happen now. Occasionally, the large brute would stop and shake his pelt, spraying a few drops of water in random directions as he did so. His thick fur came in handy when it came to walking through the melting snow that coated the forest area. He was getting better with his navigating skills, and he prided himself of being an amazing tracking. He knew that he would probably end up getting into a fight soon with someone, no matter who it was. He didn't care, and he thought that he was easily capable of holding his own. He was cocky, and that was because he was still fairly young when it came to a wolf. He felt like he knew a lot a lot of knowledge about surviving, yet, he didn't remember his past enough to figure anything out. Bramble gave a low growl of frustration as he stopped walking, and pressed his forehead to a nearby tree. He rubbed his cranium against the rough surface of the back as he tried to figure out something else to think about. Thinking about his memories would only make his headache worse, and he didn't even know why he was having a headache in the first place. Was something like this even possible? Maybe he should talk to Thunderclan's medicine wolf. Nettlecloud was it? He was terrible when it came to names. He had made a couple mistakes talking about names before anyway.

The large brute removed his head from the tree and noticed how there were pieces of his fur that were stuck to it. Whatever. Not like some ripping out of pieces of fur would hurt him all that much. Not only did he not remember his past though, he didn't even know he had a family. He didn't even know that he had a brother in the first place. His brother was currently looking for him, and probably scared out of his mind. His father was also looking for him, and Bramble knew none of this. The warrior didn't know how he was practically tortured since he was pup by his father after their mother was killed by a group of rogues. No. Instead, Bramblethorn believed that he had been raised in Thunderclan. The irony was that no one really knew who he was, and that was simply because he hadn't been social and kept to himself. He felt like he should be independent, while at the same time he got the feeling that he should remain near others. The timber wolf definitely was commanding when it came to certain things. And on top of that, he could become quite aggressive and didn't mind showing it. Others around him probably believed in Starclan. This male didn't. In fact, he didn't believe in anything other then surviving. Maybe whatever happened in his past would give him an idea as to why he was so tense all the time. As if there was something lurking in the shadows that would gladly eat him without a second thought. Star-pelted ancestors that lived in the sky? Yeah, and he was a squirrel. A huff escaped his jaws as he padded through the trees, his pawprints leaving imprints from where he had previously been. He wanted to find a quiet place to be, as being in such a busy area put him uncomfortable. Almost as if he had been raised not to trust others. That was one of the things of his memories that he knew of though, and that was he didn't trust those that approached him. He didn't know why, he just didn't. It felt like a defense mechanism.

Finally, the stepped out from the treeline. It was a nice night out he had to admit. The cool air felt nice against his heated skin. The male event went to the extent of closing his emerald gaze and inhaling the brisk cool air. However, it was then that he heard breathing, and his eyes immediately snapped opened. His honed instincts kicked in as the muscles around his shoulders began to tense, and his eyes began to narrow in the direction of the noise. His lips began to curl to reveal his fangs. Then the scent hit his nose. And the pain in his head grew a lot worse. A groaned a little in pain as he raised a paw to touch the side of his head. He could barely make out the figure of the other wolf. But from the scent at least, he could tell that it wasn't from any of the clans. A confused look spread across his features as he looked around the area. Bramblethorn looked for any signs that the other male wasn't alone, but couldn't find any. He sniffed the air again, and his dark brown ears were perked. The Thunderclanner ran his tongue across the outside of his lips as his tail lashed behind him slightly. He forced his breathing to slow though as he was probably getting worked up over nothing. The pelt and scars seemed so familiar though... But because of his memory, he didn't recognize who it was. He took a couple steps forward, and soon was a little bit of a distance away from the other lupine. "Howdy stranger. I think you're trespassin." Bramblethorn said in his usual voice. His eyes were no longer narrowed, but his usual scowl was splayed across his facial features. The timber wolf remained tense in case the other tried to attack him. He wasn't sure about loners.

Steel had lost interest in watching the lights that lit up the sky, grumbling to himself with the wisdom of the old he had continued along his way trying to pick up the scent again unaware or more accurately uncaring that the soft breeze was picking up his own scent and tossing it around through the air. The grey and silver wolf was by nature a wolf that preferred to be on his own, although he'd taken the exception to two young wolves a few months or was it years? back. But now they were gone and he was left jaded, a little more bitter, a little more unwilling to open up to others, those darned idiots in that other pack were another reason to not trust.

His yellowed-green eyes that were a mix of the two colours closed against the soft breeze that felt like it was caressing his old battle scarred face, at times like this the older brute missed the one he'd once loved. She'd been killed in the ring because of the two legs, he had rebelled and killed the two leg that had owned him and had fled into the wild soon learning that battling was no different from hunting. A soft whimper made his ears flick and his body come to a halt, he may have been older now but he was not deaf nor blind. He whipped around and saw coming towards him a figure that he'd never thought he'd seen again his eyes widened and the snarl that had built up died on his face surprise and shock showing there.

Listening to the brutes reply he snorted "I thought you were dead Dean! your brother thinks you're dead!" he told him his eyes glittering with relief but also anger "What got into you to ditch family! Family don't end with blood boy!" he growled the growl revealing how worried and concerned the grey male had been for the pup who was one of two he considered his own in a way. "Lupus damn it all you Idjit" it was then that he realized the look on the younger lupines face. Confusion, he didn't recognize him? What on earth had John done to him now? "Whats happened to you Dean?" Why did he smell like the near by pack he'd never thought that Dean his Dean would go and run off, ditch his brother and join a pack. Family had been everything to the three of them,  the steel hued brute flicked his tail glaring a little at the green eyed wolf.

He didn't know that the male was going to be a threat. He didn't trust anyone that he came across though, and this was no exception. He watched the other movements carefully. It seemed like the loner seemed to be thinking about something. While his own thinking was bringing him nothing but mental pain, so he tried his best to forget about it. Instead, he started to think about the clans. He doubted that anything memorable was happening at the gathering, having been one of the first things he had been to in the first place. Why hadn't he had to others previously? His memory only went so far when he had been in Thunderclan. Everyone sometimes looked surprised to see him around anyway, as if he hadn't been there before. The male raised one of his paws and absentmindedly touch the scar that was just below his eye. It almost felt like it was starting to itch. Unlike Steel though, Bramblethorn wasn't really capable of remembering what love felt like. He saw it occasionally in the camp, but most of the time he just saw violence and rage. Something he decided to stay away from at the moment. He worked fine by himself. There was always a feeling though that something was missing. The male rolled his neck till it made a cracking noise. Cracking his neck didn't calm his headache though sadly. It was then that he noticed the other males muscles tightening, and his emerald gaze narrowed as he lowered his own head as he heard what sounded like a beginning of a growl from the other male. Just looking at the loner gave him a massive headache. The scent. The scars. Even the way the older timber was built made him want to slam his head against a rock because it was so familiar.

When the other lupine turned to look at him, the other would be met with a look of surprise. Dean? Who was that? Was the old man talking to him or something? The Thunderclanner even began to look around trying to figure out if this was some kind of prank. Then the growling began. The other began talking about someting like a brother. As far as he was concerned, he didn't have any family that he knew of. He held family close to his heart though, kinda like how Blackpup would do anything to protect this sister. Bramblethorn didn't really back down from the older male since he didn't have a recollection of who the hell he was. He didn't leave anyone! He had been born in Thunderclan! At least that's what he chose to tell himself and make him believe every single day. He of course realized that his actions were far different from the clanners, but he decided to ignore it because he didn't want to come to the truth. His black claws scratched the ground as there were several moments where he debated on speaking, but the other beat him to it. A irritated look was on his face when the other asked what had happened to whoever Dean was. His dark brown ear twitched on the side of his skull. He had no idea what the other was talking about. It made no sense to him. Not to mention that he didn't know who the hell the other brute was in the first place.

Once the other had been done speaking though, Bramblethorn quickly took this chance to speak toward the other male. "Come again? Sorry old man but you got the wrong wolf here. Maybe you hit your head on something, or maybe your memory is becoming as bad as a fish. I've never heard of this 'Dean' and I definitely ain't him. My name is Bramblethorn, and I haven't abandoned anyone." The thought of possibly betraying family made his skin crawl. Did he even have family? Well of course he did if he had been born after all. His tone was deep and almost laced with a growl of his own as he was being stern. He had no recollection, and he sure as hell hoped that none of his other clanmates found him talking to a loner. If they did, they probably would think that he killed Pandamask or something. Which would be very bad because he wasn't a murderer. At least that's what he told himself. He felt like he had something dark inside of him, but he wasn't sure exactly what. His scowl remained on his face, but there were several other emotions that were spread across his facial features. Mostly consisting of confusion and distrust. Even though Bramblethorn didn't remember it, he had actually lost his memory while getting in a fight with the group of rogues that had killed his mother as he had been outnumbered. There were a couple scars on his body that were from the rogues. While the other ones had been from his father. On the topic of his scars, they were beginning to itch a little bit. Raising one of his light hued paws, he turned his head to the left a little bit, and scratched at the right side of his neck. Faintly, there would be a scar that look like a bite mark from another canine there. Indents of where the fangs had entered his flesh obvious. Once he was done scratching, he rolled his shoulders, as there was a long scar made by claws in between his shoulder blades, but that would only be capable of being seen if someone approached him from the side and looked in that specific spot. Bramblethorn grunted though as his face scrunched up in pain as his head pounded. If he was a cat, he probably would have hissed in pain as he raised one of his paws to touch his temple. However, he never turned his gaze away from the grey brute.

His green-yellow gaze had watched him intently and his words made his tail lash "Who you calling old, boy. Looks like my memory is better than yours. I couldn't forget your face If I tried" He circled his friend a couple of times "You've got some new scars as well" then again hadn't they all? he snorted in response to that particular thought, the steel grey wolf narrowed his eyes at Dean somewhat insulted that he'd been apparently forgotten. After everything he'd done for the little brat, grumbling to himself the older wolf narrowed his eyes "I guess Im going to have to stick around until you remember" what the hell kind of name was Bramblethorn? For Lupus's sake!

The old male shook himself out and paused to scratch behind an ear and lowered his paws down with a world weary sigh. He couldn't believe this, he half wondered if this was where Winchester had ended up as well. Winchester had been a good friend, and Steel wondered where he had gone, he himself had never planned to join a pack happier on his own. The grizzled wolf whos own scars rivaled some of Bramblethorns he sighed and shook his head "What do you remember then give me that much at least" how on earth had he managed to forget him? Steel knew he wasn't exactly the prettiest old wolf in the world and his short temperedness with younger wolves was pretty renowned.

35 Re: Swift End Cliffs on Wed Mar 30, 2016 9:07 pm

If Bramblethorn actually had his memory, he probably would have shown a lot more respect to Steel. Although, it would probably end up being a love hate relationship in the end. The male lashed his own tail as the other mentioned that he couldn't forget a face like his. This made his eyebrow furrows slightly as he took it the wrong way. "What's that supposed to mean?" The timber wolf questioned in his usual grumpy tone as he rolled his shoulders. He noticed that their eyes somewhat matched. Were they actually related? Now that would be something interesting to find out. Bramble had denied the fact that he hadn't been born in Thunderclan, since that's all he could really remember. The male had kept himself thinking that so that he wouldn't drive himself insane trying to figure out what his past was when no one in the clan would be able to know it. What if he did have a family? Were they dead? Had he gotten them killed? Guilt began to fill his emotions, causing him to look thoughtfully off to the side, his emerald gaze narrowing down at the ground. No. He wouldn't do something like that. He would never abandon anyone, especially if he had some type of family. The only reason why he wasn't driving the grey male off of the territory at this point was simply because what he was talking about made some sense. What kind of name was Dean though? It didn't really make a lot of sense to someone like him anyway. He raised his head again though when he noticed that the other male was circling him. His eyes immediately began to track his every movement, the tendons in his back legs starting to tense up as he was ready to try and defend himself in case the other did something with him. Everything that his father had taught him was obvious in his body language, not that Bramblethorn knew this of course. The timber wolf had no idea who this was, and that meant he could be lying and trying to get the better of him. Which he wouldn't allow to happen. A huff escaped his jaws as the other was back in front of him again. He didn't know where he had gotten his scars. The male had no idea about a lot of facts about himself. "Yeah well I don't know where I got those either. Yours don't exactly look any better." The dark brute said. He was honestly debating on whether to sit down or not at the moment. He twitched the black tip of his tail as his ears began to swivel on top of his head. He was still listening to his surroundings. At this point, he was listening to hear whether his clanmates were headed in this direction or not. He doubted that with everyone angered about the idea of a murdered clanmate, that they would like a loner covered in scars on the territory.

However, when the other lupine began to talk about staying till he remembered everything, a surprised look spread across his face. A sarcastic chuckle escaped his jaws as he soon has his signature smirk spread across his lips. "I don't think that's a good idea there buddy. With everything that's going on in Thunderclan, if you're just going to stick around at the borders, you're bound to get attacked by another Thunderclanner because they'll see you as a threat. Everyone's has their tails tied in knots I swear." The last sentence was nothing but him complaining about dealing with the drama. He had already been blamed for the death of the medicine wolf when he knew little to nothing about the other clans anyway. He knew that he hadn't killed her, and he didn't have some ideas who. The other clan hadn't even created an investigation to figure out what had happened. Bramble didn't like seeing others hurt because of him. Wait. Where had that thought come from? He blinked a little bit on confusion at the sudden thought that had entered his head but shook it off, shaking his head slightly. His hot breath left a small bit of steam as he breathed in and out. He was very fit for someone his age, and had a lot of muscle packed under his thick fur. He watched as the other lupine began to calm down though. Bramblethorn couldn't tell if the other was a threat or not, so he simply decided to sit himself down. His flank crunched the melting snow beneath him, but no chill entered his body thanks to his thick dark fur. Occasional, his gaze would move away from the other male to look at the surroundings. It was slightly hard to hear everything else due to the roar of the ocean though. He turned his attention back toward the older male when the other began asking about what he did remember. His vibrant emerald gaze almost seemed to become clouded as it lowered to look down at his paws. The warriors face scrunched up slightly in pain, and he even raised one of his paws to cover his left eye where there was just a scar underneath it. Images flashed in front of his face, but none of them were from his past. He remembered a lot of pain though. He was brought back to reality in a matter of seconds, grunting with effort. He shook his fur a little bit, as if trying to drive the pain away in his head before looking at the other grey wolf as if he was perfectly fine. He was faking it though. He always seemed to be good at that. "Hell, I barely remember everything. I remember being in Thunderclan camp. I was injured. And then I went on with my life. That's about it really. But, I don't even know your name. Who are you?" Bramblethorn asked as he narrowed his orbs at Steel. He didn't know his name, and that was fairly obvious since he didn't exactly have any memory of who the scarred creature was.

Well this was bad, Dean didn't seem to remember anything and he had no idea where he got his scars. Probably a good thing too now that he thought about it. The old grey male lashed his tail listening to him with a huff "A good deal of em are from yer no good two bit father of yours" he growled shaking his head a little "I am steel" he reminded the younger wolf flickign his tail as he muttered a few things to himself. Something about a rouge named Lana as well as a few other things to himself, he sighed and sat down lifting a paw to scratch his muzzle that had flecks of grey through it. "I'll be fine I know how to take care of myself seems like all the wolves 'round here are Idjits as well" he was going to have to find sam or john to get this sack of fur infront of him to remember wasn't he? The thought made him groan and close his yellow green eyes for a moment the scarred up male going quiet for a couple of moments what was he going to do?

Bramblethorn didn't exactly have an amazing past. From watching his mother die in a fire and practically ripped apart by the rogues that had killer her, to having his father bring him up as a soldier and completely abuse him and not his brother because his father didn't want to have to deal with his rebellious brother for very long. Except. Bramble didn't remember any of that. Even if he did remember that, the timber wolf would most likely be quick to defend his father. After all, the male had to raise them all on his own, and didn't know how to be a father to being with as Bramble had only been born a couple months until Sam was born in the first place. It was hard for his father, and he believed that he had done the right thing although could have done it differently in some ways. He had always been there for Sam, but John hadn't always been there. He had fed his brother. He had shed blood to make sure that he had been kept safe. He followed orders, because John had been more experienced than he had been and knew what it was like to go through hardship. No one should had been brought up in that life. Especially after what Sam had been through with the death of his mate. Now that had been terrible, as the same group of rogues had slaughtered the light colored female. He remembered that when Sam had left them to go start his own pack instead of slaughtering the monsters that they sought out to hunt. The male had been so angry, and had been one of the worst memories in his entire life. He had to watch as his best friend practically just walked away. Sam had been his responsibility, and the look on his fathers face had made him almost want to dig a hole and die inside of it. What the dark brute didn't know was that him and his brother had been looking for his father, but had taken up a 'case' along the way. Which was why they had managed to get stuck near this territory before they had been ambushed and they had gotten separated. Several months had passed by then, and Bramblethorn still didn't know anything about what had happened. Once he regained his memories though, the male would remember all these things. At the mention of his father giving him his scars, he blinked a little in confusion. The warrior raised one of his paws and touched the scar under his left eye, and his brow scrunched up slightly. What kind of father would have done this? there was a feeling in his gut saying that he shouldn't blame his father, so that was exactly what he was going to tell the scar covered lupine in front of him. "Maybe he had a reason behind it." His voice sounded confused. Almost lost. He didn't know half of the things he was saying anymore. The feelings. He didn't know how to deal with them in any other way other than to shove them back down into the back of his mind and deal with the problem first hand. He lashed his tail once behind him as he tried to grasp the fact at what was going on. So, he had been formerly named Dean. And from what he had heard already, he wasn't born in the packs. That was a lot to set in.

The canis listened as the male spoke his name, and the confused look didn't seem to appear on his facial features anymore. Instead, it looked almost as if he was about to say something sarcastic. "You mean like the metal?" Indeed, he had learned quite a few things when he had been by the twolegs and from what his father had taught him when they had lived in abandoned houses. Again however, he didn't know where this knowledge completely came from. He flicked one of his dark ears as he heard rustling in the distance, but didn't even bother to turn his head as he recognized the foot falls of what it was. It was a squirrel, and it would soon run off back into the bushes once it noticed them. The last thing he had to put on his mind to worry about. The next part caused him to snort a little bit. "Yeah well some of them are good decent fighters from the looks of it. Make sure your old flank doesn't get dragged into the ground now." Now he was starting to turn back into his cocky self. His stature didn't change though as he remained rigid. His signature smirk spread across his lips, and he even did the habit of dragging his tongue across the front of his lips.

The confusion was so clear on the younger wolfs face, although his last words reminded him of who he was "heh very funny dean" he told him with a roll of his mixed eyes "These aren't from any of the pansies around here, these are from my youth as you should know" he flicked his ears back against his head his lips revealing a sneer "You and I have killed legions of wolves and dogs, although apparently your princess self dosen't remember this" he shook his head lashing his tail over his heels as he remembered various things they had done. The old and battered brute snorted drifting into thought again before shaking himself out of the past and looking over at dean "What do you remember then mm? Obviously not Sam or your good for nothing father" steel detested John for what the other wolf had put Dean through his eyes narrowed at the thought of that wolf and his claws dug into the earth. If he knew what the young wolf who now called himself 'bramblethorn' could and couldn't remember it'd make a good starting point at least. Although he had a hunch that they were going to have to go and find Sam or John to find his memories and unlock them from wherever they had been locked inside his skull.

The sides of his mouth twitched at the mention of the name that he was being called. It felt weird, but at the same time it made a whole lot more sense to him compared to everything else. He didn't know what to think was real and what was not. Maybe he really did have a family. But what kind of family would abuse each other from the sounds of it? How was his father? It was almost as if Steel didn't really want him to meet him, but there wasn't much Bramblethorn could do about it. He wasn't about to change his name just yet either, as he had grown attached to his current name quite a bit. After all, this all could be some kind of misunderstanding and it could mean nothing in the end and it could just be a old geezer that had lost his marbles from his jar and was just spitting nonsense at anyone that he had gotten into contact with. That notion was becoming more and more believable. His smirk didn't leave his lips though as Steel replied back sarcastically. The large brute gave a small shrug his his shoulders, his emerald gaze almost glinting in response to the others first response. "Yeah well I think I'm hilarious." The lupine said as he even emphasized on the idea as he put a paw dramatically to his chest, chuckling slightly to himself. He had some humor when it came to certain things, and he was often called immature when he joked around an idea that was supposed to be serious. Sometimes he just couldn't help it. Bramblethorn grunted though and rolled his eyes as he looked at Steel. From his youth? Did he get his scars in his youth? The male didn't even know how old his scars were, as there wasn't a lot of a ability to tell how old or young a scar was in his knowledge. Some wore their scars like trophies, he didn't really care what he looked like with the scars as they were mostly hidden. Sometimes he would put time into making sure that his fur was in a decent condition, other time if he was too tired, he just left it the way that it was. Now it was his turn to roll his eyes. "Oh really? Well genius if I had a memory I might have remembered that. And there's still a possibility that I'm not the wolf you're even looking for yet." The Thunderclanner stated in a matter of factly tone as he tapped the tip of his tail on the ground below him. He was beginning to fidget slightly. He knew that Rosethorn had believed that he had gone back to camp. How long would the Gathering be going on for? Maybe for a little while longer because of all the arguments that others were probably having with each other. But, he couldn't be seen with Steel if his clanmates did come around to finding them.

The last thing that he expected to hear from the other lupine was what he said next. They had been killers together? His emerald gaze widened, and he even moved from his sitting position, staring at the ground as if it was going to eat him alive. He wasn't scared, he was just completely shocked. How many had he killed? Was he a killer? Well he could see him doing something like that. He looked up at the grey male, his facial expression hardening, and his legs practically moved to make a step forward. "If we did kill together old man, then we had a reason for doing it yes? No way in hell would I just kill someone in cold blood." He almost sounded angry at such a notion that would end up coming up. Did that mean that he had enemies that could put the clans into potential dangers. He lashed his tail once behind him, and he held his breath slightly, hoping he would hear what he wanted to hear. John had only been killing those that had become murderers, and when they were hired by other groups of wolves to take them out. He had trained his offspring to do the same thing, although Bramblethorn had been better at it than Sam had because he had been a good little soldier. A huff escaped his maw as he shook his head, the headache starting again. The other had already asked him that question then. However, the name Sam perked his interest. No images flashed in his mind before. The male tilted his head slightly, his dark brown ears slowly starting to pin against his cranium. Why did he have a guilty feeling in his stomach? He felt like he was missing something. The heavily musculed creature could feel his heart rate beginning to increase. Bramblethorn completely avoided the question entirely. He had already explained to the male exactly what he remembered. He didn't remember anything about his father, or who this Sam was. They both felt important though, and this made his paws shift slightly in the thin layer of snow that was on the ground. "Who's Sam?" Bramblethorn pressed his own question. His emerald gaze seemed to have softened after his previous statement as he gazed intently at the other.

Steel grunted watching him "Aye they were murderers" he flicked his tail not in the mood for dealing with more thick headed clan wolves if they turned up "Sam is your little brother,  you two were always as thick as thieves" he informed the seemingly forgetful wolf. What had happened to Dean that this would happen this was supposed to be the unthinkable it was if he'd died and been brought back to life. The wolf shook his head unable to comprehend that this was really happening, he scratched the side of his muzzle again before inspecting the wolf that he knew to be Dean. No one else stunk quite like this ball of daddy issues and self loathing.

the older watched as The younger wolf looked around a few times probably keeping an eye out for the dumb members of these clans. He flicked his tail again and gave a low sigh "Well Dean or bramblethorn, I'm sick of the stink of this place I'll be hanging around the borders and Loner lands if you ever want to find out more about that which you forgot boy" he sighed and shook his head his yellow green eyes still filled with surprise that he'd found the thought to be dead dean wandering around alive and well with a new alias. He supposed he'd remember eventually and then perhaps would come find him, the silver and grey wolf covered in old battle scars headed out towards the loner territories

So, the wolves that they had supposedly killed were murderers themselves. That made quite a bit of sense to Bramblethorn. It especially made sense because of the fact that there was a discussion of murder that was going on with the different clans at the moment. A murderer had killed a sweet sounding wolf from the sound of it, and his clan was getting blamed for it which he doubted that they had done something like that. However, Bramble didn't exactly know everyone in the clan heart to heart, and knew barely all of their names in the first place. It was difficult, and he didn't like being around huge crowds. He kept to himself, and he quite enjoyed it after all, as it was quite. He liked being able to take care of himself, but he had always felt like something was missing. The timber wolf could guess this was the answer to his question as to why he had that feeling. Bramblethorn still didn't trust the other male however, as he didn't trust anyone. He could easily be lying, and there were plenty of lupis out there that looked similar, especially with coat color. Everything that the other had said though, had sparked something in his mind, but it wasn't enough to bring his memory back. He had some images, but all of them were like they had been put into a grinder and blended into a mesh of colors. It was impossible to tell what the memories were showing him in the first place. He was looking down at the ground now, his brow still scrunched up as he tried to think about the current situation and try to solve it. There was only one reason why he couldn't remember, and that would most likely be amnesia. Which was caused from a hard blow to the head. Hell, considering how he knew how to fight so much, he could have gotten it in a fight or something. He twitched the black tip of his tail on the ground, the muscles around his shoulders flexing as he remained tense. He raised his massive head again though when he heard Steel talk again. He. He had a brother? His breathing practically stopped and his eyes went wide as he looked at him, his gaze looked distant though. He had a brother. A little brother. Was that the reason why he was so protective of pups? Because he had a little brother? Was he okay? Was Sam looking for him? From the sounds of what Steel was saying, the two seemed to be fairly close. His body started to react to the information and his breathing quickened slightly. He was brought back to realization of what his body was doing and forced himself to calm down, his facial features returning to their usual look from the looks of it. The large brute watched as the other began to scratch his mother. When he heard the name that wasn't his own, this of course made his ear twitch slightly, as he wasn't used to being called that. He didn't even know if he was this 'Dean' in the first place. Annoying to say the least, and it was incredibly frustrating not to be able to get his mind off of any of this. He narrowed his eyes a little bit, and grunted at the way the other was speaking to him. Bramblethorn might not even see this wolf again, and he wasn't sure about how he felt about that. He almost felt drawn toward the other even. He rolled his shoulders. "Yeah well try not to get your tail bitten off old man." The cocky tone was still in his voice as he had a smirk spread across his jaws. It was forced though, but he pulled the forced expression off perfectly. The Thunderclanner didn't say anything as the other simply began to walk away. There was no way he was going to forget the other males scent in a long time. At least in his mind anyway. Once the other was out of sight, he lowered himself onto the snow, and rolled his large body over so that he was on his back. He stared up at the star dotted sky, and let the melting snow beneath his mass begin to cool his body. Why had he gotten so worked up so quickly? The male couldn't find the answer, and honestly, he just wanted his headache to stop. He had a brother. Should he go looking for him? Where was even the last place they had seen each other even? Bramble again didn't have the answers. A low growl escaped his jaws as he rolled his frame over so that he was onto his stomach before using his long appendages to propel himself forward so that he was in a sitting position. He knew that he had some back luck here and there, but he never thought it could get this bad. His green eyes almost seemed a couple shades darker, and he almost looked more pissed than he usually was. His thoughts then soon returned to the gathering. Was it over? Probably not. There was too much drama going on even before he had been there from the sounds of it. He was glad that he had left when he did. Although, he wasn't sure if it was worth the massive headache either. The lupis began to make his way to camp, silently grumbling to himself.
