The Four Clans

Season
Current Season: Greenleaf
Greenleaf has taken hold of the forest, marking an end to the pleasantly warm days of Newleaf. The temperature is now quite hot, at times unbearably so; most prey tend to take shelter during the hottest time of the day. Dangerous thunderstorms are possible and can happen with little warning. Will the heat of Greenleaf cause tempers to flare when tension is already running high in the Clans?

1 Lost Plateau on Sat Nov 02, 2013 7:01 pm

A stretch of bare rock lying slightly parallel to the Jagged Cliff. Trees dot the landscape, along with long grasses that wave in the wind.

Wrenpaw traveled fast over the frozen Landscape. His dark amber eyes scanned the horizon, looking for any trace of his leader. "Where in Starclan's name could she be?" He wondered, sniffing the air for any trace of Snowy's scent. But as he figured, he found none, since whenever she disappeared it had been before the recent snowfall. Wren sighed and scraped the snow frustratingly. How on earth were they supposed to find her without using their sense of smell? The male then remembered what he had did back in camp. So lifting his head, he let out another long howl, that echoed ominously through the barren land. "I know she'll here that if she's anywhere nearby." He thought, pausing to wait for an answer. Unfortunately, there was none. "Maybe wherever she is, she's to hurt to reply?" Wrenpaw guessed. In that case they definitely had to find her, and soon. The Apprentice began to stalk across the snowy landscape, leaving a trail of paw prints in his search.

Larkpaw limped out over the Plateau toward Wren. She turned her head to see where Icefrost was, but the Warrior had not caught up yet. When she had heard her brother's howl, she ran toward him, but he was already padding away again. "Hey Wrenpaw! Wait up!" She called out to him from a distance. Lark watched as he stopped and turned towards her direction. She then padded awkwardly towards him. With her metal leg, she had learned how to run with it, shifting it so that it didn't weigh her down. But unfortunately, it was different on the snow, where her paws sunk down, making it even more awkward to run. "Stupid thing!" She thought crossly, very annoyed. In the moons that she'd had it, Lark really had never gotten used to the new paw. She would never be sure of the motive that would cause the Twolegs to do the stuff they did to the wolves who had gotten caught.
The She-wolf now stopped besides Wren. "Sorry," She panted, sending frosty breath in the air. "Icefrost's coming too. Have you picked up any trace of Snowstar yet?" She asked, hoping he said yes.

[[Oh my gosh, so so sorry this took forever. Diamond is back and was hogging computer]]

Icefrost caught up to where Larkpaw had been, her eyes filled with worry as she rushed off in search of Snowstar's scent. Snowstar wouldn't just up and leave them, no, something had happened and Icefrost wanted to find out what it was. Snowstar wouldn't have left the clan like that, they were all family. Who just abandons family? Snowstar doesn't. They would find her, hopefully alive and unharmed.

Angelheart quickly caught up to the adventuring party, and she noticed Icefrost was frantic. "Calm down Icefrost. We will find her, we need to be patient and calm though." She said in a rather stern expression.

Icefrost looked up at Angelheart as she was being chastised and she practically blew up on her. "How can I be calm when my leader is missing? Why are you so calm Angelheart?" She wanted to yell, but instead it was a frantic ton. A small frown was on her muzzle.

[Wrenpaw]

The male Apprentice shook his head sadly. "No, not yet." He replied, snapping his head up as he saw Icefrost and Angelheart approach. "I howled though, but it would be hard to pick up her scent after the snowfall." Since he had heard no reply, it was starting to get him anxious.

[Larkpaw]

Lark nodded, then turned as the two Warriors came into view. "Hmm...If she's anywhere nearby, then she'd be hurt not to respond...I wonder...." The She-wolf glanced up at the Warriors. "Icefrost, Angelheart?" She called, limping towards them. "There's a place near here, it's called the Jagged Peak...If her scent isn't here, we could check over there?" Larkpaw suggested. "It's rather easy for a wolf to fall over."

Icefrost listened thoughtfully to the apprentice, she was smart and would make a good warrior. "Lead the way Larkpaw." She urged with a smile to hold onto her muzzle. Surely Snowstar would be there, at Jagged Peak or at least near there. Then Icefrost thought, if Graywolf really did run the entire territory and look, and she didn't find Snowstar, did that mean Snowstar is MIA. Is she lost outside the territory?

Larkpaw blinked at Icefrost's reply. "Really?" She asked rather surprised. It was an honor to lead a patrol, and the privilege was usually given to an older Warrior. The She-wolf lifted her head a bit higher as she turned towards the direction of Jagged Peaks. "Ok, it's this way." She then limped off towards it, checking to make sure the others were behind her along the way. "Oh please Starclan, let her be there." The vision she had seen earlier still spooked her, but she refused to let it show on her face.

Snowtail arrived at the large plateau only to confirm his theory. There was the scent of deer on the horizon and it was crucially important that they catch them in order to prepare for the coming battles. This was, if they were to happen they would need to be prepared. The need to practice fighting and the need for food would be greater. There would be longer days and shorter nights. This was the nature of the war on the horizon. He could feel it. He ran back to camp to talk to everyone else and get a hunt on.

Ember trotted up her tail carried  neatly enough so it wouldn't drag through the fallen snow that covered the earth like a blanket. She flicked her tail tip from side to side, her black nose taking in a deep breath of the crisp cold air, information instantly being picked out of the breath. There was a doe and her fawn far over near the jagged cliff, some rabbits and mice squirreling about for food in the frost covered waste land. The red wolf knew it would be harder for her to hunt the animals in this weather, her pelt was more intended for when there was no snow on the ground so she would have to make do. Ignoring how cold the snow was she lay down and rolled in it dusting her fur with the cold powder, she crouched down deciding she'd go for the does fawn. It was likely that the doe was already pregnant and so it would be more sustainable if she brought down the fawn, it would be easier to take down the fawn than a fully grown deer by herself anyway

time skip!

The wolf stood panting beside the carcass of the young fawn that she'd successfully brought down. She picked up the animal by its neck and turned beginning the long trek back to camp. She was a little worried that loners or rouges would attack her for the tempting catch
