The Four Clans

Season
Current Season: Greenleaf
Greenleaf has taken hold of the forest, marking an end to the pleasantly warm days of Newleaf. The temperature is now quite hot, at times unbearably so; most prey tend to take shelter during the hottest time of the day. Dangerous thunderstorms are possible and can happen with little warning. Will the heat of Greenleaf cause tempers to flare when tension is already running high in the Clans?

First topic message reminder :

Four Falls:

Four Falls is a group of four waterfalls that the Clan wolves have held their Gatherings at since the early days of the Clans. Four Falls is described as neutral territory, and is often used when wolves from different Clans want to meet outside a Gathering. There is a small island in the middle of Four Falls. The Clan leaders use the giant rock to look down on the Clans and share their news during Gatherings. The island is also lined in moss.

Ravenclaw

Senior Warrior
Ravenclaw peeked past his eyelids, surprise coloring his features. He quickly dove into the river, emerging on the other side, shedding water from his oily pelt, eyes wide as Gentlestar and Cloudwhisp were at each other's necks. He padded towards the group of wolves, eyes narrowed in confusion. "Who's dead? Who are they talking about...?" Ravenclaw clenched his jaw. "This is a gathering." He hissed under his breathe. "And sacred..." He felt a lump in his that, and decided to clear it as he moved to join Moonpaw and Iceflood. Better to cut themselves off from the other clans. Even if his blue eyes unconsciously looked for a creamy Sunclan pelt. "Her name is Cloudwhisp..." He whispered as he took a seat besides the pair of white wolves. "Deputy of Thunderclan."

"But where is Firestar...? Brokenstar?"

Willowmist

avatar
Senior Warrior
She walked up to the great lake and hesitated her own old body not really wanting to enter the cold water. But she forced herself forward, her long creamy hued fur becoming plastered to her sides as she waded through the shallow lake swimming through the deepest part without much difficultly. Moving up onto the island she shook her long fur greatful that it would keep her warm once she'd dried out. Her gaze took in the mass of other wolves, with her thoughts focused on gentlestar she walked up to the great rock knowing it'd be slightly difficult for her to get up there she called out "Gentlestar... Listen to me... You know she wouldn't want a fight to break out here, You know she wouldn't want a war started because of this. Set aside your anger; not just for yourself" her voice was a little shaky filled with the pain and horror of what she'd found and brought back to camp.

Graystar

avatar
Clan Leader
Graystar had tilted her head with slight confusion when she saw Stoatblaze come up to speak to Gentlestar. She returned the SunClan warrior's nod of acknowledgement, but Stoatblaze and Gentlestar had spoken too quietly for her to hear what had been said. Whatever he had told Gentlestar made her furious, and the leader's golden eyes blinked. Just a few moments ago Gentlestar had said that all was well with her Clan. The situation only got worse when Cloudwhisp arrived. "Hello Cloudwhisp," Graystar said hesitantly; she hadn't missed the look in the silvery-furred deputy's eyes. She was scared about something, but what? ThunderClan's medicine wolf, Nettlecloud, mentioned 'terrible tragedy.' Was that it?

Gentlestar seemed to be accusing ThunderClan of whatever it was that had happened; she could clearly hear the SunClan leader's words now. Some ThunderClan warriors were now yelling, and Graystar heard Willowmist call for peace. Graystar blinked slightly with confusion, uncertain just what had happened between the two other Clans. Something about breaking the Warrior Code, and Nettlecloud had also mentioned 'loss.' Had a SunClan wolf died? And somehow ThunderClan was responsible? "I know that it's not my place," Graystar said, glancing between Gentlestar and Cloudwhisp, "but we shouldn't fight at a Gathering; it is supposed to be a time of truce." She had tried to make her tone as warm as possible, in hopes of not further angering either wolf. Her gaze briefly turned towards the sky to ascertain that clouds had not covered the moon; a small wisp was blocking the edge of the moon currently. Hopefully ThunderClan and SunClan wouldn't begin to fight.

Gentlestar

avatar
Clan Leader
Gentlestar really wanted to bite all thunderclan wolves heads off at the moment but at Willowmist and Graystar's words she calmed down. She knew Willowmist was right, Pandamask would hate it if she got in a fight at the gathering or started a war. "Fine, Willowmist your right I wouldnt want her anger at me. Starclan knows how she gets when shes angry." Gentlestar said her voice shaky and filled with sadness. "All wolves off the rock unless you are a leader or deputy please. We will wait for Windclan to get here and then the gathering will begin." She announced. She walked over to her senior warrior Willowmist, "thank you Willowmist, when we get back we will send her off to starclan." She whispered and then gave Willowmist a gentle lick on the ear.

Her kind caring gaze was filled with a deep seated pain, she smiled a little when Gentlestar thanked her and returned the motion murmuring "It is easy to loose yourself in anger and grief, and those thunderclanners have plenty of pride. It is better to tread lightly, a war now would put yourself and them at risk" she didn't need to elaborate on who 'them' were. She of course meant her leaders pups, she licked the leaders ear again before leaping back down to the ground with a light thud. The impact causing her to wince a little, she swept her gaze over the crowd and seeing Ravenclaw the old woman moved over to join him as well as the others that were there. Minkfur caused her eyes to sadden slightly, she should tell her what had happened but assumed that news had better come from Gentlestar if she decided to announce what had happened. She dipped her head in greeting to the wolves that were there, her creamy fur standing out among the others coats.

Redwinds voice when it was added to her own caused her to look over at him and give a slight nod. Her green-blue eyes were focused on the leaders on the great rock, how dare that traitor on the rock even think that thunderclan had done such a thing. her sharp short temper causing her to growl angrily to herself, when an old wolf that she recognized as being one of the snarling ones back at the fire pond. Irritation caused her tail to lash as she glared at the older she wolf "What a stupid hypocrite, you should have heard her at the Fire pond" she spoke to Redwind sharply clear agitation showing on her grizzled heavily scarred features.

Storms gaze had saddened seeing the Thunderclan wolves and their responses to what was happening. he shifted his paws uneasily wondering if he should interfere before Ravenclaw appeared and he nodded in greeting. When Willowmist turned up she spoke to Gentlestar and somehow managed to calm down the anger that had been coming off of her in waves. The irish wolf hound sighed and looked down at his paws feeling worry for the state of the clans coming off him in waves. His brown eyes flitted back up onto Graystar; his thoughts drifted onto more pleasant subjects, admiring her beauty and elegance.

Moonpaw nodded both in greeting and thanks as Ravenclaw appeared and answered her question. She tilted her head watching as Gentlestar raged before calming down as Willowmist and Graystar spoke to her. The snowy apprentice lifted a hind paw and battered at her itchy ear fiercely. She ended up tilting to far over and she fell onto her side with a muffled thud. Moons white head was the only bit of her not on the ground as it was propped up against Stormblades leg. The green eyed fae scrambled back up right and looked around giving all those watching a big cheesy grin.

The silent she-wolf had watched with an almost icy aura about her, the aura was one that kept others at bay, not daring to let them get too close. Her family had been close and now they were all dead, gone, she was alone, She recognized some of the thunderclan wolves that appeared, Rosethorn being one she knew as well as Moonshadow. Wondering what all the fuss was about an ear flicked as Moonpaw talked and as Ravenclaw walked up and answered. Her white tail curled around her a little, the angry arguement up on the rock catching her attention her ice coloured eyes glittering hard in their setting. Once a senior warrior had appeared and calmed down the Sunclan leader she returned her attention to them that were beside her however she was surprised when the cream sunclan warrior had walked over and settled near Ravenclaw.

Ravenclaw

avatar
Senior Warrior
Ravenclaw watched as the familiar cream pelt rushed up the rock, calling for calm and peace. He felt almost embarrassed he didn't do the same thing. Then he was reminded how many wolves sat before the rock. He sighed through his fangs, the moistness escaping from off-white teeth, and itch settling in before he closed them and rang his tongue over the tips.

But even with his lack of self-consciousness, he wasn't going to waltz over to Willowmist. Even if she was an ex-clanmate, he was one of tradition. One for Riverclan and what it was. "...And don't let anyone forget..." He thought as the cream wolf approached without a word. He arched his brow as she took a seat and acknowledging the others with a nod of her head. Ravenclaw inwardly sighed. He supposed since Sunclan and Stormclan were allies it would be fine. So he returned the greeting with an impassive gaze. Best be what he usually was. Or always was.

Moonpaw chose then to tip over and smile awkwardly as any apprentice would have done. He glanced over with angled ears and a small smile. "Stormclan's apprentices are coming along nicely..." He said with a deep chuckle. The wall of white fur was growing comical.

OOC: This suuuuuuuucks

The red wolf growled in agreement. Slightly miffed when his howls were ignored and brushed off. But he could see the irony of the situation. The yelling match had been caused by a leader named Gentlestar. He snorted with a mocking swish of his tail. "I wouldn't doubt it." He muttered in reply as he turned his back on the leaders to take a seat among the trees and shade. Away from the moonlight as its peaceful effects. He could not stamp out his anger. It burned bright red like a coal.

Duskpup came, sliding to a stop at the sight of water. He stared into the dark recesses past the bank, discolored eyes staring back at him. He swallowed, feeling the muscle behind his ears tense. "Why in Starclan did they think this was a good idea...?" He mumbled to himself, as he debated the pros and cons of just diving in. But his wandering thoughts had wandering eyes. Which eventually spotted the Thunderclan medicine wolf. His jaws parted to call out to him before he stopped himself. "Get yourself out of this predicament first..." He whispered with a depressed frown. He tapped the water with the tip of his paw before jumping back again, the hair on the back of his neck rising. "They're all mouse-brained!" He yelled inwardly, the chill crawling up his leg, but it eventually stopped. Prompting a sigh as he finally set his feet back on the ground. The wind bit at his skin and the water was another fang threatening to sink into his skin.

"What now, Duskpup?"

Lion

avatar
Warrior Apprentice
Lionpaw approached the water, a distasteful look on her face. It'd be freezing, no doubt. Gingerly, she padded into the water and made her way to the island. Upon reaching dry land, she shook off her long pelt, and took a look around. A small but cold smile formed on her face upon seeing the anger of Gentlestar. There was no doubt about it; the clan found out about the death of their beloved Pandamask. Quickly, her expression once more become her normal stony and cruel look. The fiery-pelted apprentice padded into a rather empty spot, laying down and looking over the wolves. There were many StormClanners, including a white-furred apprentice, a large house-dog, a tired-looking brown she-wolf (who resembled Lana to a degree), and an older black warrior. She also spotted a pup arriving alone. Scowling, her hateful orange gaze glanced back to the leaders, impatiently waiting for WindClan to arrive.

Iceflood

avatar
Young Warrior
Iceflood had shrugged slightly when Moonpaw said that he shouldn't have come if he hurt his paw. She was probably right, but he figured there wasn't much he could do to change what had already happened. He placed his sprained paw on the rock she had rolled over; his paw hurt him less afterwards as he was no longer applying pressure to it. "Thank you, Moonpaw," he said. His blue gaze turned to Crystalheart when she came over, and he gave her a small nod of acknowledgement. He did the same to Ravenclaw and Willowmist when they came over. Ravenclaw had answered his apprentice's question, so he stayed quiet. The situation going on between ThunerClan and SunClan was interesting, to say the least. What had caused them to be so angry with each other? ThunderClan wasn't WindClan the last time he checked, so what quarrel did SunClan have with them? They'd all find out in time, he supposed.

She didn't say anything, couldn't find the words, she had no interest in being near Ashfall who didn't respect the rules of the tradition of the clans. Windclan and Thunderclan were likely to be hostitle which was why she'd chosen the one familiar company of the stormclan wolves. Her gaze studied the stars silently wishing that everything would be alright, in her opinion perhaps it'd be better to let windclan have Ashfall. He was more trouble than he was worth, a soft quiet sigh left the aged creme lady, so many things had changed and yet the stars were always the same. So distant, almost cold and uncaring, she could feel slight doubt in her warrior ancestors for the first time. How could they have let a defenseless medicine wolf be murdered? Pandamask had never hurt a fly, she knew little to no fighting skills preferring to have indulged herself in her herbs. Her gaze left the cold distant lights in the sky and looked over at Minkfur guilt and pain seeping into her gaze again

Barkstripe

avatar

Barkstripe's gallop across the moor had tired him out a bit. He huffed, feeling a Newleaf breeze wash over his fur. But he still shivered. The sun was gone, and moonlight was a far cry from its warm rays. And he was still abuzz with suspicions and how Ashfall had snuck past Snowstar and taken her down. Barkstripe also imagined Sunclan would attempt to defend him. He bared his teeth to himself. "Let them try..." He thought as the ground beneath his paws changed to mud. He approached the waters with a upturned brows. "Horrible idea..." He mumbled absently before he noticed Duskpup considering the lives and deaths of water logged wolves. He blinked before craning his neck around to look at the pup. "You alright there...?" He said with a frown. The warrior too did not trust water. Or Riverclanners for that fact. Or the whole of Stormclan and especially Sunclan.

Wading up onto the bank of the island and shaking himself off he flicked an ear watching everything unfold before he turned and sat down near Lionpaw. His gaze for a moment flicking to Maplepup and Aspenpaw, the gaze was fleeting, not interested before his focus returned to the wolves on the rock "Brokenstar isn't here yet? Why are we allied with late comers?" he muttered to her his words for her alone, his coat was drying out quickly from the water and with a slight yawn he lay down watching everything quietly

Moonpaw watched silently as more wolves turned up. Looking over the water she noticed some newcomers turning up and she wondered what clan they were. The snowy fae looking around noted that some of the other clans had brought along what looked like pups of all things and she shook her head. Turning her head up to look at Iceflood she nudged his side with her head. "Is it just me Iceflood or are some of the wolves pups?" she sked tilting her head. Her jade green eyes were burning with curiosity and confusion at the sight.

Lilysong

avatar
Young Warrior
Lilysong was at a loss for words even before she crested the hill and came into full view of the Gathering place. It was astonishing the sheer amount of noise that was radiating from the mass of wolves huddled in the secluded island - on any usual day the roar of the water as it pounded on the surrounding rocks would have drowned out the majority of the noise, but tonight a chorus of cries and scared shouts were carried to her on the wind. "Oh dear me." Lilysong thought privately as she cautiously approached the stretch of river that both Duskpup and Barkstripe were hesitating by. Unaware of precisely what was preventing the two wolves from entering the water she approached the edge of the river, her paws sinking unpleasantly into the soggy mud that coated its bank. How StormClan could thrive in an environment covered in such an unpleasant surface Lilysong would never understand, but she was grateful that the beginning of new leaf added a slight but comforting warmth to the air. "Are you alright there, Duskpup?" Lilysong queried, casting a glance at the pup's damp paws from which she deduced his reluctance to advance was due to his hesitance at entering the water, rather than commotion that lay ahead. The female decided against inquiring as to Barkstripe's reluctance, not wanting to accidentally put him on the defensive by implying that he was scared of water. Lilysong was more than happy to offer the pup a lift across the river, but Duskpup's continuous glances over at the ThumderClan medicine wolf, Nettlecloud, raised an air of suspicion in her mind. Not in the way that she expected any malice in the pup's intentions, but more of curiosity. She knew how facinated the pup was with herbs. Perhaps he wanted to seek advice or guidance, following the absence of WindClan's own medicine wolf. "Do you need a hand across?" Lilysong wasn't confident that this Gatherinng was the best place for a pup to be - hostility between the Clans turned the air brittle - but the presence of other pups from other Clans helped to quel her nerves somewhat. Nevertheless, she decided to keep a watchful eye on things, just in case trouble should arise.

Minkfur glanced at Stormblade when he greeted her. "I, uh, I think I cut my paw on something. I'll be alright, though. A cut won't ruin my day," she said with a smile. When Iceflood approached, she nodded towards him, woofing a greeting in return. However, a commotion from the leaders caused her to glance towards them. Gentlestar seemed to be furious, along with some ThunderClan warriors sporting rather angry looks as well. Her head tilted somewhat, until they calmed down. With that, Minkfur looked around at the other wolves. There were only a couple of WindClan wolves; she wondered when the rest would arrive. Continuing to look around, she made note of a very threatening-looking orange apprentice. Sighing softly, the warrior continued to wait for Pandamask to arrive.

He had never been to a gathering before. Ironic because he was 3 years old technically. Although he was also considered 34 moons as well. He didn't really even know where to go, and instead, he had just followed the scents from camp to where all the groups had been gathered. He didn't know of any other canines from the other clans. He didn't really seem to care all that much that he didn't know either. He was perfectly fine with the way he was now, and that meant he wasn't about to start changing either. He was used to walking long distances just like most wolves, so walking to the four falls wasn't that a huge deal for his stamina or energy. Even though he was large, he was physically fit too. Bramblethorn blinked his bright emerald gaze as he walked through the area until he arrived at a body of water. The timber wolf didn't have a problem when it came to dealing with water. He actually quite enjoyed it and that was because his winter coat kept it well insulated too. Now that Leaf Bare was ending though, his winter coat was slowly beginning to shed off. Which meant that it would probably annoy those that he slept with, but it was going to happen to all the canines in the area as far as he was concerned. He tilted his head as he listened to voices in the distance, his dark brown ears perked. His white paws were at the edge of the water, and he lifted the appendage before dipping it in the freezing liquid. He shivered slightly, but it wasn't uncomfortable for him either. A heavy sigh escaped his jaws, before a smirk spread across his facial features and a small chuckle escaped his jaws. "I bet those that passed through this got pretty frosty about the temperature." Another pun. He seemed to be good when it came to telling puns. He whispered the words to himself though as he doubted those that were at the gathering would even be able to hear him in the first place.

Not wasting anymore time though, he plunged into the water. His dark and light patterned pelt immediately began to absorb the water, causing him to sink slightly. He kept his head above water though not wanting it to get wet since that would just be annoying. It took him a couple strokes of his long legs to arrive at the other side of the water. There, he got out, his pelt dripping wet. He was cold yes, but it wasn't the worst he had ever experienced. Like any other canine that was wet, he lowered his head and began to shake his head before the rest of his body. Cold water sprayed in all directions, and he didn't really care if anyone got wet. Hell, it would probably wake them up since it was so late at night. He was doing them a favor. The smirk that had been on his lips moments ago was go, replaced with his usual scowl. Once he was done shaking himself mostly dry, he made his way toward the area. The roaring of the waterfalls echoed in his ears as he raised his gaze to look at the massive rock where a couple wolves were standing. He recognized their leader, but he didn't really recognize anyone else in the crowd. He didn't mind. The large brute made his way over toward the edge of the crowd, and sat down nowhere in particular. He was somewhat isolated this way, and if someone wanted to come talk to him, he wouldn't mind as long as they weren't complete jerks to him about being in Thunderclan. Bramblethorn's gaze didn't stay on the leaders though, as he began to look around at the crowd, marking down each face into his memory as best he could. Which wasn't an understatement since he had pretty terrible long term memory when it came to memorizing faces and names. The timber wolf quickly noticed some of the pissed off looks of some of the wolves though, and this made him tilt his head a little bit. "What's got everyone's fur into a twist?" Bramble thought to himself, but didn't really speak out. Instead, his white and brown muzzle parted to reveal white canine teeth and his salmon colored tongue as he yawned.

Finally arriving at the Four Falls, her snowy, white fur completely soaked, Doveforst shook out her fur, in an attempt to get somewhat dry, and padded over to the crowd of wolves. She noticed the bickering between Sunclan and Thunderclan, the senior warrior being unaware of what had just taken place before the Gathering. Not in the mood to get involved in the agrument, Dovefrost trotted over to Bramblethorn, seeing that he was all alone. Dovefrost was a rather friendly she-wolf, and preferred to be in the company of others than alone. "Good evening Bramblethorn. Quite a crowd out here for tonight's Gathering." The older fae greeted along with comment.
