The Four Clans

Season
Current Season: Greenleaf
Greenleaf has taken hold of the forest, marking an end to the pleasantly warm days of Newleaf. The temperature is now quite hot, at times unbearably so; most prey tend to take shelter during the hottest time of the day. Dangerous thunderstorms are possible and can happen with little warning. Will the heat of Greenleaf cause tempers to flare when tension is already running high in the Clans?

This area is home to the majority of house-dogs, although strays are known to travel through the place from time to time. Houses of many different sizes line the streets. The dogs here live with their Twolegs and are thought of as 'pampered' and 'soft' by both strays and Clan wolves. Dogs who live here typically lead peaceful lives. Any strays who enter should be wary of dogcatchers or being spotted by unkind Twolegs, and wolves are greatly discouraged from entering unless they wish to risk worse consequences.

The small canine bounded through the street, his head high. He belonged to a wealthy family, so he, of course, was rather snooty. Not bothering to check to make sure Jaques was caught up, he approached his home - a rather large house... or mansion, you could say. Slit pushed through the dog door, before he turned around and poked his head through. "Come in. My owner's won't be 'ere for a while, so you 'ave nozing to worry about," he woofed. Turning back around, the papillon headed into the kitchen, lapping at the cool water in the bowl. Sniffing momentarily, he concluded that his ruffian brother wasn't home, either. 'Good, good,' Slit thought in relief.

The stray dog had had no issues keeping up with the smaller dog, one of his strides making up three to four of the littler dogs strides. He paid no notice to the arrogance of the black and white dog, by now he'd seen all types and this one didn't bother the natural flirt as such as long as he was free to roam and flirt with whoever he wanted he was fine with putting up with the shortcomings of others. The frenchhound took in the mansion with his cheery eyes before wiggling through the dog door and entering with a sigh, looking around he nodded "You 'ave done well for yourself, Mon Amie, tis an fantastique abode" Jaques replied easily following the papillion in towards what turned out to be the kitchen. To be honest getting caught by two legs wasn't even a problem in his mind, he was faster than them and new the town quite well by now.

The gaunt thing slipped up silently, her head hung low and her tail not having the energy to walk. Her once clean silky fur was dirty and felt hideous, the starving Saluki reduced to raiding garbage cans for something to eat. She missed Christine so much, she'd never really known how lucky she'd been to have her, now she was gone and Olivia had been dumped like some mutt. She'd long given up on hating them that had done this to her, it was too hard to hate, so many times she had just wanted to give in and die, the last six months had been so hard and painful. She'd only just turned three within the past couple of weeks, she paused outside of a familiar mansion, she knew who lived there. Once upon a time he'd been her rival, and now... he was sure to jeer at her for what had happened unknowing that one day he could be in the same place she was now. The idea of him seeing her like this was too painful to bear so she picked up the pace, each step bringing more pain.

Thomas had spent the morning of this particular Saturday watching the tellie with the young male two leg. he'd eagerly watched the great sherlock holmes solve yet another case which as usual inspired him. As soon as it was done the border collie was on his paws and bouncing out the dog flap, dutifully chasing the birds off of the lawn he ducked over to the fence and pushed his way through the couple of loose boards that would let him into his best friends yard. "Bagel! bagel! come and play Sherlock Holmes! You can be my side kick Doctor John watson!" he yapped his silky tail wagging from side to side. He had always admired many of the heros he watched on the magical Tv with his two legs, sometimes there were heros with magical powers or with equipment like Iron man or Superman.

Bagel

The small beagle was happily lying in the sun, half asleep while he tried to escape from his small twoleg pup. Pretending to be asleep usually kept the two legs away so they "didn't disturb him" or something like that. Hearing the scrabbling from the fence, he rolled his eyes, and gave a long suffering sigh at the voice that soon followed. "Alright, alright. I'm coming. What great mystery are you going to be solving today?" His voice was dry as he trotted over to his friend-by-default. Honestly, it was like the border collie didn't know what grown-up meant.

Through the gap in the fence the collie shook himself out before replying "We my dear Watson we shall be solving the mystery of the disappearance of the two legs wallet! They lost it the other day when they were shopping at the square so they might have left it there by mistake" the young thing bounced on his four paws, another reason why this place was better than London was that he finally had a friend and a best friend although they were one in the same he was very grateful that Bagel did play with him. Thomas tried to show his gratitude by including Bagel in as many games as possible, his bushy tail continued wagging from side to side his mis matched eyes lit up with excitement at a real mystery to solve.

The beagle sighed, but at least it was as close to a real mystery as the collie would get. "Okay Thomas," he said, almost patronisingly. He'd go along with it. At least it got him away from the two leg pup. "Where are we going to start looking, then?" He sat, his paws neatly together, resigned to having to look after the adult sized pup that was his friend.

The handsome young collie thought to himself for a couple of moments before deciding where they would start "Lets start at the square! We can sniff around for it there, it smells like my humans and is made out of red leather" he, was wearing his bandanna collar that he was quite proud of. In his opinion it was the worlds coolest collar, the happy friendly dog with his silky fur that he was forced to have brushed every day which was totally not fun scrambled back through the fence knowing it was easier to get out of his yard. Bagels two leg pup meant they had high security, Thomas's own human pups were older and knew better than to go do silly things. Waiting for his friend his jaws parted allowing his pink tongue to drop out of his mouth hanging to the side, once the unwilling Beagle had joined him the black and white collie trotted off jovially towards the town square.

Bagel sighed, giving a shake that made his purple collar rattle slightly. For a moment, he contemplated slipping out of it, which he could do quite easily, but reconsidered. If they were going into town, it was better to keep out of the dognapper's hands. He wriggled under the fence and followed the collie, in part grateful that his neighbour was his friend, otherwise he'd be stuck in the boring yard all day with nothing to do, and no way to get out. All because of his two leg pup.
